 Descriptive Inventory of Lists and Indexes from several 
Boone/Winnebago County Sources

The following is a list of indexes and other information compiled or found by Martin Johnson

These lists are in two spiral notebooks which are located in the local history section of the 
Ida Public Library, Belvidere, IL

1. Illustrations and patron's directory name index in 1923 Boone County, IL Atlas. No names from plat maps. Index.
2. Biographies, pictures in 1886 Winnebago and Boone County Atlas. Plus patrons listed for Boone County information. No plat map names. Index.
3. Pictures, illustrations and short biographical notes in patron's section of 1905 Boone County, IL Atlas. No plat map names. Index.
4. Pictures and biographies in 1896 Belvidere Illustrated History Book. Index
5. Pictures and biographies in Vol. Two of Encyclopedia of IL and Boone County, IL index. Volume One has a biography index, but it's only for IL section

7. Boone County, IL, Land sales and purchases from book "AA". (Not book "A" which are for land in the disputed mile strip between Winnebago and Boone County in 1844. Boone County finally got control. (Land & marriages etc.)

67. Article on large meteorite that landed near Roscoe, Winnebago County, IL in 1862. This should be found with a metal detector or aerial infrared or thermography photos from a plane. Also rural cemeteries sunken covered stones.
68. Information on Shirley Cemetery which was in a woods in south east part of Cherry Valley Twp. Graves in woods still there and stones that were removed should be transcribed.
